Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP)
High-concentration phosphate fertilizer for agriculture, NPK fertilizer manufacturing and plant nutrition applications
Monoammonium phosphate, or MAP (NH₄H₂PO₄ – CAS 7722-76-1), is a mineral fertilizer that provides two essential nutrients for crop development: phosphorus and ammoniacal nitrogen.
Its high phosphorus concentration, combined with its nitrogen content, makes it a widely used raw material both for direct agricultural fertilization and for the manufacture of compound fertilizers and NPK blends.
CN DYNAMICS supplies monoammonium phosphate for international operations, mainly as granular MAP 11-52-0 and, depending on requirements and availability, as water-soluble MAP 12-61-0.
Supply can be arranged in bulk, in 25 and 50 kg bags or in Big Bags / FIBC, with logistics solutions adapted to the product grade and the required volume.

Applications
Applications in agriculture and the fertilizer industry
MAP is a concentrated source of phosphorus and nitrogen. Both nutrients take part in fundamental plant development processes, especially during the early stages of growth.
Phosphorus contributes to root system development, energy transfer, flowering and seed formation, while nitrogen supports the overall growth and development of the plant.
Direct agricultural fertilization
Granular MAP is widely used as a base and starter fertilizer, especially when crops require a significant phosphorus supply during their early development stages.
It is commonly used on crops such as maize, wheat, rice, soybean, oilseeds, potato and various horticultural productions.
NPK fertilizer manufacturing
MAP is one of the main phosphate raw materials used in the manufacture of compound fertilizers and physical NPK blends.
Its nitrogen and phosphorus content allows it to be incorporated into formulations that combine different nutrient sources to obtain products tailored to specific crop needs.
Fertigation and specialty plant nutrition
Fully water-soluble MAP is used in fertigation systems, drip irrigation and the preparation of nutrient solutions.
These applications require high-purity grades with low levels of insoluble matter, allowing dissolution and use in technically suitable irrigation installations.
Grades
Granular MAP 11-52-0 and Water-Soluble MAP 12-61-0
Granular MAP 11-52-0
MAP 11-52-0 is the conventional grade used in the international phosphate fertilizer market.
It is supplied as granules, typically around 2–4 mm in size, suitable for mechanized application and the manufacture of physical blends.
It is particularly suited to large-volume operations, both for direct supply to agricultural consumers and for fertilizer manufacturers.
Water-Soluble MAP 12-61-0
MAP 12-61-0 is a higher-purity grade, normally supplied as a white crystalline powder with high water solubility.
This grade is mainly used for the manufacture of soluble fertilizers, fertigation and certain specialty plant nutrition applications.
Distinguishing between the two grades is essential, as they have different physical requirements, purity levels and end applications.
Specifications
Quality and parameter control
The main technical specifications of MAP depend on the requested grade and its end application.
The following parameters can be controlled in supply operations:
Final values are set by the agreed technical specification and verified through the corresponding Certificate of Analysis (COA).
Packaging
Bulk supply and different packaging formats
CN DYNAMICS adapts the MAP supply format to the required grade, the volume of each operation and the logistics facilities available at origin and destination.
Bulk / Maritime bulk
Granular MAP can be supplied unpacked on dry bulk carriers, a method particularly suited to importers, large-scale distributors and fertilizer manufacturers.
This format makes it easier to move large volumes and helps optimize transport costs per tonne.
25 and 50 kg bags
Standard formats in the international fertilizer trade, particularly suited to distribution, storage and agricultural use.
For soluble grades, 25 kg bags are one of the most widely used commercial presentations.
Big Bags / FIBC
MAP can also be supplied in Big Bags, typically from 500 to 1,000 kg, depending on grade and manufacturer.
This format reduces the number of units handled and makes it easier to receive industrial quantities without specific bulk unloading facilities.
Logistics
International supply for different consumption scales
For large volumes of granular MAP, CN DYNAMICS can structure operations using bulk maritime transport, taking into account product availability and the buyer's unloading infrastructure.
For packaged MAP, both granular and soluble, operations can be organized using full container loads (FCL) or conventional cargo.
This flexibility makes it possible to meet the needs of fertilizer importers, NPK blend manufacturers and agricultural distributors.
Quality
Product storage and preservation
MAP should be stored in dry, covered and properly ventilated facilities to minimize moisture absorption, caking and changes to its physical properties.
For granular MAP, size uniformity and granule strength are relevant for handling and subsequent use in blends.
For soluble MAP, purity and low insoluble content are especially important for fertigation applications.
Each operation is structured according to the quality and technical documentation required by the customer.
Supply with a technical and operational focus
CN DYNAMICS supplies monoammonium phosphate (MAP) to importers, agricultural distributors and fertilizer manufacturers, combining international sourcing, specification control and logistics solutions adapted to volume. Our goal is to provide competitive and reliable supply, for both spot operations and recurring programmes, matching product quality and transport conditions to the buyer's real needs.
