Urea (CO(NH₂)₂ – CAS 57-13-6) is one of the most widely used nitrogen fertilizers in the world. With a nitrogen content of 46%, it is a concentrated source of this essential nutrient for crop growth and agricultural production.

Applications
Applications in agriculture and fertilizers
Urea provides nitrogen, one of the fundamental macronutrients for plant development, involved in the formation of proteins, chlorophyll and other compounds essential for plant growth.
Its high concentration allows it to be used both as a direct-application fertilizer and as a raw material for manufacturing other fertilizer products.
Agricultural nitrogen fertilization
Used on a wide variety of crops, including cereals, maize, rice, sugarcane, cotton, vegetables and industrial crops. Urea delivers significant amounts of nitrogen with a relatively small quantity of product.
NPK fertilizer manufacturing
Urea is a common raw material in the production of compound fertilizers and physical NPK blends, where it is combined with sources of phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients to obtain formulations tailored to different crops and agricultural needs.
Liquid fertilizers and nitrogen solutions
It can also be used as a raw material in the manufacture of certain nitrogen fertilizer solutions, including urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) formulations.
Fertigation and special applications
High-solubility grades with suitable purity parameters can be used in fertigation systems and certain foliar applications, in line with the required technical specifications and biuret limits.

Granular Urea 46%
Granular urea is one of the most widely used forms in large-volume international operations.
It features relatively uniform granules, generally around 2–4 mm, with mechanical strength suitable for storage, maritime transport and industrial handling.
Its particle size facilitates mechanized agricultural spreading and its incorporation into certain physical fertilizer blends.
Prilled Urea 46%
Prilled urea comes as small spherical particles, normally of smaller diameter than granular urea.
It is a grade widely used in agricultural fertilization and in the formulation of nitrogen products.
Both forms have a nominal nitrogen content of 46%, differing mainly in their physical properties, particle size and handling behaviour.

Standard commercial distribution formats, generally polypropylene bags with an inner moisture-protection liner.
They allow easy handling and onward distribution to cooperatives, distributors and agricultural consumers.
Big Bags / FIBC
Available in capacities from 500 to 1,000 kg.
An efficient option for industrial and agricultural customers requiring large quantities, combining product protection with easy loading and unloading.
Logistics
International supply adapted to volume

For smaller operations or those requiring packaged product, supply can be organized using full container loads (Full Container Load – FCL) or conventional maritime cargo.
